VEC was founded in the year 1971 by our Founder Smt. Jayalakshmi Siddiah who founded Sarvodaya Education Society in Jayanagar in the Year 1959.SES started out by running a nursery school in a garage along with Sishu Vihar and a Kannada Medium School for the underprivileged children providing free education, midday meals, free books and uniforms with aid from the Government.

In 1970-71 the society got permission to start English Medium classes from Nursery onwards and the foundation for the New Stone building was laid by Shri.K. Puttaswamy, Law minister.

VEC would later go on to attain CICSE affiliation and become one of the top 10 schools in South Bangalore. VEC recently celebrated its GOLDEN JUBILEE commemorating 50 years of service in the field of Education in Jayanagar area of Bangalore. We have catered to all sections of society irrespective of caste, creed, religion or social status and take pride in the batches of students who have graduated over the years. Our alumni spans many fields in a network that is spread across the globe

In our Golden Jubilee year we now embark on our journey to get in touch with our Alumni and form a network to connect with each other. Together, we are committed to contributing to this longstanding Institution and take it to greater heights.
